Ingredients & Information
Are your products made with natural ingredients?
Yes, we use a combination of naturally derived ingredients and carefully selected functional ingredients to create gentle, effective skincare suitable for sensitive skin.
Every ingredient is clearly listed on our packaging and under the 'ingredients' tab on each product page, so you know exactly what you're putting on your skin.
What does the Class I Medical Device mean?
Class I Medical Device is a regulatory classification. Products in this category are assessed against a defined set of standards and must be supported by scientific evidence relating to the concern they are intended to help manage, which is a higher requirement than a general cosmetic moisturiser needs to meet.
In practical terms, it means the ingredients in these formulations were selected on the basis of published data rather than on trend.
Are your vegan or tested on animals?
No; Grahams Natural does not test any of our products on animals, and therefore you can rest assured we are cruelty free!
Regarding being vegan, many of our products are vegan friendly. However, some formulations contain ingredients such as Manuka Honey or Beeswax and are therefore not considered vegan. Please refer to the individual product page or ingredient list for more information.
Do your products contain steroids or fragrances?
No; Grahams Natural products are steroid free!
Regarding fragrances, our medical device formulas don't include any additional fragrance, nor do many of our other products. All 'scent' comes purely from the naturally derived ingredients! For full reference, please always refer to the ingredient list on each product page for full details.
Do your products contain nuts or common allergens?
For peace of mind for parents, we have kept our entire baby range nut free, including Baby Eczema Cream and Baby Eczema Body & Bath Oil. Many of our other products are also nut free, though we recommend referring to the ingredient list on each product page to confirm.
One range to note is our oils. Scalp Relief Oil, Face & Eyelid Oil and Skin Therapy Oil all contain almond oil, so please avoid these if you have a nut allergy.
We also recommend performing a patch test before first use of any new product.
Are your products gluten free?
Many Grahams Natural products are formulated without gluten-containing ingredients. However, as formulations may vary between products, we recommend checking the ingredient list on the product page or packaging if you have coeliac disease or a gluten sensitivity.
If you have questions about a specific product, our customer care team will be happy to help.
How do I patch test a new product?
Apply a small amount to the inside of your forearm and leave it for 24 hours. If there is no reaction, the product is suitable to use as directed. We recommend doing this with any new skincare product, including ours, as naturally derived ingredients can still trigger an individual sensitivity.
Using The Products
How long will it take to see results?
Everyone's skin is different. Some people notice improvements within a few days, while others may take several weeks of consistent use. For best results, follow the directions for use and maintain a consistent skincare routine daily.
How often and how much should I apply?
We recommend to apply minimum twice daily for our targeted skincare products, however as the products are formulated using naturally derived ingredients, they are safe for use as often as required! For individual product information like the Pro20+ (advised to take once daily), we recommend referring to the individual product page.
For application, we suggest starting with a 'pea sized' amount or enough to leave a visible layer on the skin. Using too little is one of the most common reasons people feel a product isn't working for them, so be generous, particularly on very dry or thickened areas.
The products are stinging my skin; why is this?
Skin that's been dealing with eczema for a prolonged period of time is often broken and compromised at a microscopic level. When a water-based cream is applied, it can seep into those tiny cracks and sting. This is completely normal, and not a sign the product is wrong for you. It's a sign of how damaged the barrier is underneath. That's why we recommend applying one of the oil products first. It gently seals the surface, hydrating and forming a protective layer, so the cream sits on top of the skin rather than seeping into broken areas. This dramatically reduces stinging and sensitivity.
Can I use your products alongside prescribed medications?
Our products are generally suitable to use alongside many prescribed skincare treatments. However, if you are currently using prescription medications or have been advised by your healthcare professional, we recommend consulting them before introducing any new skincare products.
Safety & Storage
Are your products suitable for babies and children?
Many Grahams Natural products are suitable for babies and children, including newborns. For example, our baby eczema range is suitable for ages 0-12 years! For the Pro20+ we recommend this product for ages 5+ years as the gut microbiome is not yet fully developed yet at ages under this.
Can children use the 'normal' products?
Yes! We do have a dedicated baby and children's range, however if you find their skin requires something a little more, the other products are most definitely suitable. As always, it is recommended to patch test before use of any new product.
Are your products safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding?
Our products are generally considered suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, because every pregnancy is different, we recommend speaking with your healthcare professional before using any new skincare products.
My child has ingested a product, what do I do?
Our topical products aren't intended to be swallowed, though the Pro20+ and Mega Oil are of course formulated to be taken internally. If your child does accidentally swallow a small amount of a topical product, it isn't generally a cause for alarm. We recommend monitoring them and seeking medical advice if you have any concerns or if any unusual symptoms appear.
How should I store my products?
Store your Grahams Natural skincare products below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Shelf life varies by product, so please refer to the expiry date or Period After Opening (PAO) symbol on the packaging. The PAO symbol is the small open jar icon with a number, which tells you how many months the product remains at its best once opened.
Does Pro20+ need to be refrigerated?
No. Pro20+ is shelf stable and does not require refrigeration. It is formulated to maintain the viability of its live cultures at room temperature. Simply store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat, which also makes it convenient for travel.
Product Recommendations
What products do you recommend for eczema?
We recommend starting with Skin Therapy Oil and C+ Eczema & Dermatitis Cream. Apply the oil first, while the skin is still slightly damp, to replenish moisture and create a protective layer. Follow with the cream to support the skin barrier and keep skin feeling hydrated and comfortable. Our Eczema Trial Pack and Eczema Flare Pack both contain this combination if you'd like to try it together.
For the delicate skin of the face and eyelids, our Face & Eyelid Eczema Cream and Face & Eyelid Oil are formulated specifically for that area.
During a flare-up, Eczema Gel can be used for additional cooling and soothing relief when skin feels hot, itchy or irritated.
What products do you recommend for baby eczema?
We recommend our Baby Eczema Cream together with Baby Eczema Body & Bath Oil. Add the oil to the bath or apply to slightly damp skin after bathing, then follow with the cream to help lock in moisture and protect delicate skin. Both are available together in our Baby Eczema Trial Pack.
During a flare-up, Eczema Gel can also be used for extra cooling relief when your baby's skin feels hot, itchy or irritated. It's suitable for use on babies and can be a helpful addition before bed when itching disrupts sleep.
What products do you recommend for psoriasis?
Our Psoriasis Cream and Skin Therapy Oil are designed to work together to hydrate dry, scaly skin and support the skin's natural moisture barrier. Apply the oil first, then the cream on top.
If psoriasis affects your scalp, our Scalp Relief Oil, Scalp Relief Shampoo and Scalp Relief Cream are formulated for that area, helping to soften and lift scale while soothing dryness and itching. The Scalp Psoriasis Pack brings these together in one bundle.
What products do you recommend for rosacea?
Begin by cleansing with our Anti Redness Wash, a gentle wash formulated for sensitive, redness-prone skin. Follow with Rosacea Cream, which helps to soothe and moisturise, and can be used as both a daily moisturiser and a night cream. Keeping it in the refrigerator before application may provide an extra cooling sensation during flare-ups.
What products do you recommend for dandruff?
Our Scalp Relief range is designed to be used together. Use Scalp Relief Oil as a pre-wash treatment to soften and lift flaking, cleanse with Scalp Relief Shampoo, then apply Scalp Relief Cream between washes to soothe dryness and itching. The Dandruff Relief Pack combines all three.
For ongoing everyday care once your scalp has settled, our Natural Shampoo and Natural Conditioner are gentle alternatives.
